Water Pump Station Work May Discolor Water

Repair work at the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Cassadaga Water Pump Station may cause discolored water on Wednesday in the village of Falconer and on the north side of Jamestown. Water may take 12 to 24 hours to clear. Work will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to be completed before noon. BPU water customers are reminded to check for discolored water before doing laundry.

Crossing Repairs To Be Made

Railroad crews will be making repairs to the Van Buren Road railroad crossing located in the town of Pomfret. Van Buren Road will be closed to all traffic at the railroad crossing on Tuesday. A detour will not be posted. Motorists are asked to an alternate route.

Memorial Day Parade Canceled

PANAMA — The Memorial Day parade in Panama has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
