Workers Memorial Event Postponed

FREWSBURG — The Chautauqua County Workers Memorial, scheduled for May 2 at Erlandson Park in Frewsburg, has been postponed until further notice.

Marvin House Offering Take-Out

The Marvin House will offer food take-out today between 3-4 p.m. The meal will include salad, parmesan chicken, rice, seasonal vegetable, and Texas Sheet Cake. The cost is $17 for Marvin House members and $20 for non-members. When you drive up to the Marvin House we have your name and the number of meals you have reserved and any additional requests written on our list. School Board To Hold Special Meeting Today

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will hold a special meeting today at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held remotely via Zoom to discuss a personnel matter and can be accessed at E2CCB-GST.zoom.us/j/92478196242. The meeting will also be recorded and posted on the website for public viewing at the conclusion of the meeting.

Rotary Distributes Easter Candy

Last week AM Rotary distributed several hundred pounds of Easter candy to Eastside YMCA, Salvation Army, and the St. Susan Center. The Basket Company furnished the product at below cost due to the business decline caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. AM Rotary is looking for new members, and is currently meeting thru zoom video. School Board To Meet Tuesday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will meet Tuesday, April 21. The public will be able to view this meeting live by going to the district’s website at frewsburgcsd.org and following the instructions on the home page. Public participation questions and comments regarding the agenda can be emailed to Laura Smith, district clerk, at lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting.

Corporation, Agency To Meet

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency and Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation will meet electronically on Tuesday, April 28, and can be viewed view through the IDA’s Youtube page. Minutes of the board meetings will be transcribed and posted online once approved by the board.

School Board Elections May Be Delayed

The New York State School Boards Association is urging candidates for local boards of education not to go door-to-door in order to collect signatures on their petitions to get on the ballot for school board elections this May. NYSSBA officials are working with the state Education Department and the governor’s office to move both school board elections and the school budget votes to a later date, or find some other alternative for this year.
