Citizens For A Better Cassadaga To Meet Today

CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Cassadaga Library. Upcoming events will be discussed. The public is welcome to attend.

Third Friday Dance Canceled

The Jamestown Community Third Friday dance for Friday, March 20, has been canceled.

Russian Dinner Event To Be Held

FALCONER — The 2020 Russian dinner will take place Saturday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at Levant Wesleyan Church in Falconer. This year’s fundraiser-dinner will feature “Russian Fairy Tales,” and authentic foods from various regions. Proceeds will assist with travel expenses for the Russian teachers participating in the Perm Mission Network exchange. Tickets are $12 in advance and will be available at the church office, or $15 at the door. For more information, call 708-6215.

Zoning Board Meeting Set

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Zoning Board of Appeals meeting scheduled for today at 7 p.m. has been canceled. The board was reviewing the variance application submitted by Up State Tower Co. regarding their desire to establish an 180-foot-tall wireless communication tower within a single-family residential district.

Stafford To Speak At Observatory

FREWSBURG — The Martz-Kohl Observatory, 176 Robbin Hill Road, Frewsburg, will be kicking off its guest speaker program for the season with professor Mike Stafford on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to come join Martz-Kohl Observatory members and board members as Stafford presents, “The Dance of Planets and the Galaxy: How Physics Plays the Tune.” Following Professor Stafford’s presentation, the observatory will be open for members and the public to view the night sky through the various telescopes located throughout the observatory, weather permitting.

Golden Agers Meeting Set

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Busti Golden Agers will meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion on Chautauqua Avenue. The Harmony Gals quartet will be the entertainment, and refreshments will be provided. Members need to sign up for the Spring Dinner at a cost of $6 at this meeting. Library’s Census Celebration Day Event To Be Held

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library in Westfield is hosting a Census Celebration Day from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. The event is an opportunity to have questions answered and to fill out Census information in person. Similar events are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 25 at the Falconer Public Library, 10 a.m. to noon March 28 at the Lakewood Memorial Library, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 31 at the Darwin R. Barker Library Association in Fredonia.
