RTPI To Debut New Exhibitions

The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will debut its newest exhibitions on Friday, March 20. “Roger Tory Peterson: Works from the Collection, The Quaker State Years” and “Field Guide to Wildflowers” will be presented in RTPI’s first and second floor galleries. Between 1942-1952, Roger Tory Peterson began producing artwork for the Quaker State Lithographing Company, creating original large scale paintings of life size birds. This never-before-seen display will feature newly framed lithographs that represent this seminal body of work from Peterson. Also featured will be a selection of works from one of Peterson’s field guide projects — The Peterson Field Guide to Wildflowers of Northeastern/North-central North America. The restored and re-framed originals bring to life the pages of one of the most cherished and widely used books from the groundbreaking Peterson Field Guide Series.
