Auxiliary Board To Meet Thurs.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. The auxiliary will resume monthly meetings March 9 at 7 p.m. New members are welcome to attend the March meeting. Entertainment will be “Bingo for Prizes.” Greeters for the evening are Ann Gullotti and Donna Charles, and helpers are Jan DeVoe and Sandy Carlson. Refreshments will be provided by Sharon Purdy and Nancy Rasmussen. Each member is asked to bring a non-perishable item for the St. Susan Center. Bazaar And Craft Show Set April 4

The Kiantone Independent Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its annual Spring Bazaar and Craft show on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spaces are available, and for more information, contact Kim at 640-7697.

Blood Drive Being Held Thurs.

The Community Blood Bank is holding a blood drive Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lutheran Social Services, 715 Falconer St., Jamestown. Walk-ins are welcome for the drive, and appointments are available. “One more donation in 2020 is all it takes to help make sure the blood is there when patients in the local hospitals are in need,” said Jaclyn Seymour, community relations specialist for the Community Blood Bank. “That’s just another 30 minutes of the 525,600 minutes in the entire year. We hope you all can find a half hour to help save more lives in the local community.”

JCC, Edinboro Sign Transfer Agreement

A new transfer agreement between Jamestown Community College and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania’s early childhood education program has been signed. JCC graduates who hold either an associate in applied science or associate in science degree in early childhood education can transfer up to the equivalent of 68 credit hours into EU’s early childhood education program if they meet grade point and course requirements. Located in northwestern Pennsylvania, EU is a public, four-year university offering associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees serving approximately 4,600 undergraduate and graduate students. Pine Valley School Board To Meet

The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. It is anticipated that the board will go into executive session immediately. Meetings are held in the board room at the elementary school and are open to the public.

Kindergarten Registration Set

Paul B. D. Temple Elementary will hold Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year on May 20 and May 21. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must be 5 years of age on or before Dec. 1, 2020. Universal Pre-K registration will take place on June 4 and June 5. To be eligible for UPK, students must be 4 years of age on or before Dec. 1, 2020. A birth certificate, documented immunization records, completed registration papers, and proof of residency must be present at the time of registration. Anyone who has an eligible child, should call the school office at 267-3255.
