Stolen Car Found Crashed Into Pole

Police were investigating a domestic incident that ended with a vehicle crashing into a pole Thursday morning. A local man was being questioned by the Jamestown Police Department after a car was initially reported stolen from a Kiantone residence. That same vehicle then crashed into a pole near the intersection of Foote Avenue and Harrison Street in Jamestown around 9:30 a.m. The man reportedly left the scene following the crash but was later located. No further information was available.

Fenton Annual Meeting Set

The Fenton History Center’s annual meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. at Shawbuck’s, 212 W. Second St., Jamestown. Following the meeting, the first night of the center’s annual trivia contest will begin at 7 p.m.. The event is every Wednesday in February at Shawbuck’s. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the trivia starts at 7 p.m. Trivia is free, though donations are accepted.

Mobile Pantry To Be In Ashville

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Association Of Firemen To Meet

RUSHFORD — The South Western Association of Volunteer Firemen will host its next quarterly business meeting on Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Rushford Fire Department, 8911 Upper St., Rushford. The executive meeting will begin at noon and the general membership meeting will start at 1 p.m. The association is comprised of volunteer firefighters and EMS providers of fire departments and rescue squads in the four counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Erie counties of New York. SNAP County Offices Relocated

SNAP in Chautauqua County has moved offices from the Catholic Charities building on Third Street, Jamestown, to 42 Dunham Ave., Jamestown, off of Fairmount Avenue. The office is now currently shared with WIC and Catholic Charities. For more information, call 244-7337.

Women’s Club To Host Lunch Event

The Norden Women’s Club will hold a member-guest lunch Saturday, Feb. 8, at the DoubleTree restaurant in Jamestown. Social time will be at noon, with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. Following lunch, the program will be the St. James Italian Heritage Dancers. Board Of Health To Meet Feb. 6

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet Thursday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 16. The public is welcome to attend.
