Series Screening Rescheduled

FREDONIA — In order to accommodate the Small Business Revolution Winner Reveal Rally on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m., the previously scheduled Cinema Series screening of the film “Dark Waters” has been canceled. Patrons may see the film this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The Technical Committee of the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the water pollution control facility. The public is welcome to attend.

Valentine’s Day Dinner To Be Held

CHERRY CREEK — The Pine Valley VFW Auxiliary No. 2522 will host a Valentine’s prime rib dinner on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 5-7 p.m. at the Pine Valley VFW on Route 83 in Cherry Creek. Coldspring Town Board To Meet

COLDSPRING — The Coldspring Town Board held its organizational meeting Jan. 9. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Tina Hyde. Bids for 2020 highway truck were opened and the organizational meeting opened afterward. Members present were Wendell Craig Anderson, Kenneth Dechow, Ronald Brooks and Justice John Emborski. Minutes were read from the Dec. 5 meeting by the town clerk and approved as read by Hyde. Town Clerk Marilyn Bowley reported about dog problems and performing a dog census for the year 2020. The board accepted the 2020 budget without any revisions. The board reminded all drivers of the importance for safety by “parking their vehicles in a responsible manner along the town roads to enable snow plowing during the winter months. Thank you for doing your part in helping us to keep town roads clear of snow.” The board next meets Thursday, Feb. 13.

Grange To Host Pancake Brunch

SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Grange will hold an all you can eat pancake brunch on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Balcolm Corners, Routes 83 and 322, South Dayton. The cost is $7 for a small meal or $8 for a large.

Planning Board To Meet Feb. 4

The Chautauqua County Planning Board will meet Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 4 p.m. at Jamestown Community College, 525 Falconer St., Jamestown. The meeting will be held in the boardroom of the Hamilton Collegiate Center. The public is welcome to attend.

CASA To Hold Training Event

MAYVILLE — Court Appointed Special Advocates of Chautauqua County will hold spring volunteer training Tuesdays from March 3 through April 28 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Chautauqua County Emergency Services Conference Room, 2 Academy St., Mayville.
