Randolph Zoning Board To Meet

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Thursday in the Randolph Town Hall at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Pride Event Planning Meeting Dates Scheduled

The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County and the Jamestown Pride Steering Committee have set the schedule for planning meetings for the Jamestown Pride event scheduled for Saturday, June 13. All meetings are open to the public and will take place at the Mental Health Association of Chautauqua County’s Jamestown offices, 31 Water Street, at 6 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: Jan. 28; Feb. 18; March 17; April 21; May 19; June 2; and June 9.Those interested in being part of the planning process for the Pride event are encouraged to attend, and those who want to be put on the contact list to be kept up to date on plans as well as learn how to be involved may contact certified peer specialist Sheridan Smith at sheridan.smith@mhachautauqua.org or 490-4438.

Comedy Center Nominated For Travel Award

The National Comedy Center has been nominated for its 2020 USA Today’s 10 Readers’ Choice Travel Award for “Best New Museum.” The Comedy Center was one of 20 new museums in the United States nominated for the award by a panel of nationally-recognized travel experts for the USA Today travel award series, which celebrates outstanding destinations, attractions and experiences. Voting takes place now through Monday, Feb. 17, at noon and can be done at VoteComedyCenter.com. The winner of the “Best New Museum” award will be announced on Friday, Feb. 28. In 2019, the National Comedy Center was nominated for the USA Today “Best New Attraction” award, where it was voted No. 2 out of 20 new attractions by USA Today readers, and chosen as the No. 1 museum and No. 1 ticketed attraction in the USA Today poll.

Pine Valley VFW To Host Breakfast

CHERRY CREEK — The Pine Valley VFW Auxiliary No. 2522 will host a breakfast every Sunday from 8-11 a.m. at the Pine Valley VFW on Route 83 in Cherry Creek. The meal costs $6 and includes pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, apple juice, grape juice and orange juice.

Griffith To Speak At Grange Mon.

FALCONER — John Griffith, Chautauqua County Emergency Services coordinator, will speak Monday at 1 p.m. at the meeting of Ross Grange at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall in Falconer. He will tell of his activities and the fly car program. Refreshments will be served following his presentation and the business meeting will follow. All interested people are encouraged to attend.

5-Hour Course Set To Be Held

SHERMAN — The Sherman Central School District will host a five-hour pre-licensing course on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost of the course is $25. Those interested in taking the course is asked to call 761-6122 during regular school hours to register. Class size is limited.
