BPU Announces Possible Water Discoloration

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Water Division announced that water customers in Celoron and west toward Lakewood, Cottage Park and beyond could see discolored water Friday. Owners of a warehouse at 101 Jackson Ave., Celoron, alerted the BPU that fire system water testing will take place at the facility. Once discolored, water could take 12-24 hours to clear. BPU water customers in Celoron and west will want to avoid doing laundry until their water appears clear.

Craft Bazaar To Be Held Friday

The Resource Center, 75 Jones and Gifford Ave., Jamestown, will hold a craft bazaar Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include crafts, baked goods, plants, and flavored coffees, and lunch items will be available for purchase. There also will be a Chinese auction. Proceeds from the bazaar will support activities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in The Resource Center’s day habilitation programs. Tea Party Patriots To Meet Nov. 26

LAKEWOOD — The Southern Tier Tea Party Patriots will meet Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. Members will hear about the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.

Classic Movie Night Set For Sat.

FREWSBURG — Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg will be hosting a classic movie night on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 6 pm. The 1940 film “Philadelphia Story” starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart will be shown. The event is free and open to the public.

Lake Erie Choral Artists To Perform

The Lake Erie Choral Artists will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ First United Methodist Church, Jamestown. The group’s 18 singers perform madrigals, motets, carols, a piece for double choir, partsongs, contemporary and spirituals. The concert is free, and an offering will be taken.

Artisan Market To Be Held Nov. 30

The St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, will be hosting a pop-up artisan market featuring hand crafted products from Ten Thousand Villages. Jewelry and holiday items will be available at the Thrift Shop on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and before and after St. Luke’s church services on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon.

IDA Board Of Directors To Meet

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 10 a.m. at the BWB Building, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The meeting is open to the public.

Pancake Brunch Set For Dec. 1

SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Grange, 431 Route 83, South Dayton, will hold a pancake brunch Sunday, Dec. 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $7 for a small and $8 for a large meal. The public is welcome to attend.
