Songwriter To Perform Sunday

BEMUS POINT — St. Mary of Lourdes Church, 41 Main St., Bemus Point, will present songwriter and recording artist Paul Koleske in concert Sunday at 5 p.m. Koleske will integrate faith witness and testimony with his music. He has been on EWTN and is known throughout the nation for his music and speaking presentations. His recorded music will be available for purchase. The concert will be on a free-will offering basis. Spaghetti Dinner Is Planned

A spaghetti dinner will be held at the Fluvanna Fire Hall on Saturday from 4:30-7 p.m. Joe Conti will be the cook, and the cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The dinner will benefit the Maple Grove girls basketball team.

Ellington Town Picnic Sets Event

ELLINGTON — A fundraiser to benefit the Ellington Town Picnic and Ellington Road N Gun will be held Saturday from 5-11 a.m. at the Rod N Gun, 1045 Hagerdon Hill Road. The menu will include pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, coffee, tea, hot chocolate juices and milk. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for children under 5. Drawings for gifts will be held at 11 a.m.

Historical Society To Meet Sat.

RED HOUSE — Members of the Allegany State Park Historical Society will host a presentation Saturday at 1 p.m. at Camp Allegany’s classroom building, located past Red House Lake off Route 2. This month’s guest speakers are cousins, Michael Karlson and Jim Keleher who will give an exciting, fun and informative presentation on “Yearly Cabin Holders” in Allegany State Park.

NCCR Sets Open House Saturday

WESTFIELD — The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The shelter is also holding a Buy a Brick Fundraiser. A $50 donation allows a donor to honor/memorialize a pet or person. Details are available at caninerescue.org or at the shelter, 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. The shelters is also accepting donations to fill up the shelter’s shelves for the holidays. Items needed include pet safe ice melt, Purina puppy chow, canned dog food, clorox spray or any spray with bleach, paper towels, 13-gallon trash bags, Pine Sol, bleach, puppy pads, Dawn dish detergent, HE Liquid Laundry Detergent, stamps, hot dogs, dog treats, tennis balls, kongs and dog toys, and Advantix II flea and tick medicines.

Holiday Bazaar Will Be Held

On Saturday and Sunday, Nightscape Cinema, an independent filmmakers organization in Jamestown will be hosting a free shop local Holiday Bazaar. Featuring over 50 local vendors, with handmade and commercial merchandise, the bazaar will also welcome Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer for children to meet and have their picture taken. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
