CARTS To Offer Vets Free Ride

The Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System will offer free city fixed routes on Veterans Day to veterans and active military men and women. To ride, veterans may board the bus with a valid veteran or military ID card. “Today and every day we would like to thank and honor our veterans and active military members, who define selfless service,” said Michele Westphal, senior project coordinator of CARTS. “To show our gratitude CARTS will offer free rides on our CARTS City Fixed Routes on Veterans Day.”

North Harmony Seeks Attorney

The town of North Harmony is seeking letters of interest for the position of town attorney. Letters should be addressed to the town clerk, North Harmony, P.O. Box 167 Stow NY 14785, and received no later than Dec. 6.

JPS Board Sets Tuesday Meeting

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at the district Administration Building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Ripley School Panel To Meet

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board will meet Thursday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the IRLA Library. The public is invited to attend.

PARSE To Hold Nov. 14 Meeting

WARREN, Pa. — PARSE, the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees, will meet ar 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, in the dining room on the second floor of the Allegheny Community Center on Clark Street in Warren, Pa. Harvest Dance Will Be Nov. 15

The Tree of Life Church, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown, will host its harvest dance Friday, Nov. 15, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Joe Kwiatkowski is caller and the musicians are Don and Jean Wisniewski from Waterford, Pa. Admission is $5. The Christmas Dance is on Friday, Dec. 20.

Food Pantry To Be Open Nov. 19

KENNEDY — The Kennedy First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Children’s Clothing Closet serving Falconer School District residents is open Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6-8 p.m. The pantry provides each family with two to three days of food, but is limited to type depending on the food donations that have been received. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets in Kennedy.

Fall Craft, Vendor Fair To Be Held

Residents at the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center will be hosting a fall craft and vendor fair on Friday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Taco salad lunches will be sold during the event, which features over 30 vendors from the community.
