Ross Grange To Meet Today

FALCONER — Ross Grange will meet today at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall. A buffet meal will be served with Betty Wakefield as hostess at 6 p.m. The business meeting will follow. A Veteran’s Day card will be distributed for members to sign. These will be sent to local veteran’s hospitals. Those attending should bring a dish to share. Beverages and table service will be provided.

Library To Host Instructional Class

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library invites community members ages 12 and up to a free paper folding instructional class in creating paper butterflies. The class will be led by volunteer Florence Seekings today at 6 p.m. All supplies will be provided at no cost. Register by calling 962-5885 or by email at sincfrlb@gmail.com.

Tie-Dye For Hope Event Set Tues.

The Mental Health Association, 31 Water St., will hold its annual Tie-Dye for Hope event Tuesday. At 10 a.m. is a Talk Saves Lives training, where attendees can learn how to start a conversation about suicide that might save someone’s life. At 11 a.m. there will be food and, as supplies last, T-shirts to tie-dye.

Community Craft Time To Be Held

KENNEDY — Community Craft Time at Kennedy First United Methodist Church will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon upstairs in the adult Sunday School room. This is open to all adults. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets in Kennedy and is handicap accessible through the lower side door.

Rabies Clinics Announced

The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health has announced the following free rabies vaccination clinics: Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the town of Carroll Old Highway Building, 5 W. Main St. in Frewsburg; Saturday, Sept. 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the Dunkirk Dog Park, 855 Main St. Ext. in Dunkirk; Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the town of Gerry Highway Garage, 4675 Route 60 in Gerry; and Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1-3 p.m. at the town of Poland Highway Garage, 533 Grubb Hill Road in Kennedy. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets 3 months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination.

Driving Classes To Be Sponsored

LAKEWOOD — Brookdale, Lakewood, will sponsor a six-hour Smart Driving Class on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 26 and 27, 9 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is required by calling Brookdale at 665-2414. The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members payable in advance by check. Upon successful completion of the class, participants are eligible to receive a 10% discount on their auto insurance for a three year period.

County Planning Board To Meet

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m. at the Department of Public Facilities Falconer Shop building, 454 N. Work St., Falconer.
