Legion To Host Rustic Ramblers

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Legion Post 1286 will be hosting the Rustic Ramblers on Friday from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Dinners will be served from 5-9 p.m. All members and guests are welcome to attend.

Swiss Steak Dinner Set Sat.

The North Harmony United Methodist Church, 6814 Sherman-Stedman Road, will hold a Swiss steak dinner on Saturday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The cost of the meal is $8.50 for adults and $4 for children. Take-outs will be available, and there will be a bake sale table. Proceeds will be used for community outreach projects.

DMZ Presentation Set For Sunday

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. — The community is invited to come learn and ask questions of an international peacemaker focused on the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. The First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Grove welcomes the Rev. Moon-Sook Lee on Sunday at 3 p.m. for a multimedia presentation with refreshments to follow. Her presentation will focus on national division and problems due to the division situation, such as inter-Korean confrontation, heavy armament and militarism in the armistice, North Korea/United States confrontation over the North’s nuclear program and international communities’ economic sanctions against the North. This a free event and no reservations necessary. The public is welcome to attend.

AARP Smart Driver Class Set

East Randolph United Methodist Church will be hosting an AARP six-hour Smart Driver Class on Monday and Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. each evening in the church fellowship hall located at 122 Church St., East Randolph. This is the first course designed specifically for drivers over age 50. However drivers of all ages will benefit by attending. Participants may be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points on their driving record. Quilters Club To Meet Monday

ELLINGTON — Quilters and crafters will meet at Ellington Farman Library Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The craft time is the first and third Mondays monthly. There are no fees or registration. This is open to all, not just Ellington residents. The library is located at 760 Thornton Road, the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square and is handicap accessible. There will be plenty of outlets for sewing machines, irons or other equipment needing electric. For more information, call 287-2945.

Food Pantry Open On Tues.

KENNEDY — The Kennedy First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Children’s Clothing Closet serving Falconer School District residents is open Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. The pantry strives to provide each family with two to three days of food, but is limited to type depending on the food donations that have been received. The pantry is stocked through individual and group food and monetary donations. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets in Kennedy.
