Gazebo Concert Series Continues

BUSTI — The Busti Gazebo Concert series continues Saturday with Denny Maze and the Misfits. The group is well known for its bluegrass music and is comprised of Denny Maze, AJ Maze, Bill Smith, Tom Hodges, Ed Bennett, Steve Cofer and Ken Burford. The concert is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Band To Play On Floating Stage

On Sunday from 5-7 p.m., the Rustic Ramblers will perform on Cassadaga’s Floating Stage. The Rustic Ramblers is a group of musicians who joined in 2004 and perform traditional country music. Jim (Frito) Lanphere performs on bass guitar and vocals. Dave Bailey plays on drums and vocals. Gene Hilts plays the peddle steel guitar and Howard Buck is the lead vocalist and plays lead guitar. Cassadaga’s Floating Stage is located on Park Avenue in Cassadaga. Extra parking is available at the Fire Hall on Mill Street the Cassadaga Library on Maple Avenue or at either corner of Maple and Route 60. This concert is sponsored by the village of Cassadaga. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the American Legion Post 1280 or the Community Building on 22 Mill St.

Family Reunion Planned Saturday

GERRY — The 105th reunion of the descendants of Walter Shepardson will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Gerry Town Park in pavilion 1. Attendees are asked to bring a dish of food to pass and their own beverage and table service. Old family photos obtained this past year will be available for viewing. Community To Hold Picnic Friday

CASSADAGA — The third annual Cassadaga Community Picnic will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Cassadaga Beach. There will be games and contests. Swim lesson participants will receive their awards as well. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. Hot dogs, drink and table service will be provided. Cassadaga Beach is located on Park Avenue, Cassadaga. Additional parking may be found at the Fire Hall on Mill Street, the Cassadaga Library on Maple Avenue or at the corners of Maple Avenue and Route 60. In case of inclement weather, this event will be held at the Cassadaga Community Building on Mill Street.

JRC To Host Input Session

The Jamestown Renaissance Corp. will hold a community input session at Winter Garden Plaza on Thursday at 7 p.m. Winter Garden Plaza is located at 313 N. Main St. The session will focus on the future of Potter’s Terrace/AIDS Memorial Park/Wood Park. Board To Meet At Library Aug. 27

The Hazeltine Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the library. The meeting is set to begin at 5 p.m. and will be held at the library, 891 Busti Sugargrove Road. The public is welcome to attend.
