Work Session Canceled In Ellery

ELLERY — The town of Ellery has canceled the zoning district work session scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m.

Artmobile To Be At City Library

St. Bonaventure will bring its popular Artmobile to the Prendergast Library on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. The Artmobile brings art supplies and projects and staff to help children with their artwork. This event is free, with no sign-ups required. For more information, call the Children’s Desk at 484-7135 extension 234.

Historical Society Meets Tuesday

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Sinclairville ball park. This is the annual picnic meeting and all those attending should bring a dish of food to pass plus their own beverage and table service. The program will be Treasure Trove. All attendees are asked to bring an old item to the meeting and share the history of that item with the group. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend.

The Charlotte Town Court announced it will be closed On Tuesday.

Crafters To Meet At Local Library

The Ellington Quilters and Crafters will meet Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellington Farman Library. All adults are invited to come, work on their project or just to visit. The group meets the first and third Mondays. The library is located in the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square in Ellington, 760 Thorton Road. The library is handicap accessible. Church To Hold School ‘Bash’

The Panama United Methodist Church and the Panama Baptist Church will again host a Back To Bash for the Panama community from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Panama Central School. Event organizers will supply children attending Panama Central School in the universal pre-kindergarten program through sixth grade with school supplies. Children will also be provided with swim gear to ensure each child is prepared for swimming classes in the upcoming school year. There will be games, snack food and drinks. Scouting programs will be on site to provide information on how to get involved in their organizations. For more information, call Dawn Sard at 78-2626.

Church To Host Bible School

Lighthouse Baptist Church, 381 Camp St., will hold Vacation Bible School from Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m. The theme is “Giddy Up Junction.” There will Bible stories, missionary stories, Scripture memory, games, prizes and treats. Historical Society Event Aug. 19

CLYMER — On Monday, Aug. 19, the Clymer Historical Society is hosting a program “The Role of Intelligence in the Revolutionary War” presented by Michael Ganske. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the museum barn at 358 Clymer-Corry Road, Clymer. The public is invited.
