Express To Be At Morning Service

The Harmony Express will be at the Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, on Sunday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. for the morning worship service. The local group with a classic barbershop sound and harmony will sing many favorite hymns and well-known songs of the church. Barn Dance Event Canceled

The Cassadaga Lakes Association annual Barn Dance, which was to be held Saturday, has been canceled. “The CLA is sorry to disappoint, but we will be back next year — bigger and better than ever,” the organization said.

Library To Host Annual BBQ

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library will hold its annual auction and chicken barbecue Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 5-7 p.m. at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. Tickets for the barbecue will go on sale on Thursday until sold out. Tickets may be purchased from any Patterson Library trustee or Patterson Society Leadership team members, as well as from the main library desk. The event helps to support the budget of the Patterson Library in order to maintain services, programming and materials and continue Hannah Patterson’s legacy of “a library of beauty and excellence” for the community of Westfield. Lions To Hold Spaghetti Dinner

MAYVILLE — The Mayville Chautauqua Lions Club will be holding its 44th annual spaghetti dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 4:30-8 p.m. at St Mary’s Church Hall, 24 E. Chautauqua St., Mayville. Parking is available behind the church and take outs will be available. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 years and under. The public is welcome to attend.

Fight For Seeley Event Saturday

LAKEWOOD — A Fight for Seeley fundraiser will be held Saturday at the Lakewood Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. The fundraiser will include a “Big Bang Motorcycle Rally” in addition to live music, a Chinese auction and a corn hole tournament. The rally will be noon-4 p.m. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The cost is $10 for riders, or $15 with a meal; passengers pay $5 to ride, or $10 to include the meal; and non-riders pay $10 for food. Kids under 10 years old get a free meal. The event is in memory of Michael Seeley, who died after battling leukemia.

Fenton To Host Walking Tour

The Fenton History Center will host a new walking tour, “The Magic of Allen Park” on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. The center will partner with the Allen Park Women’s Club to offer a historic walking tour of Allen Park. After the tour, those attending can have lunch in the park or have time for their children to play in the playground. Walking tours take place rain or shine, and can cover a few miles of distance. The Allen Park tour will go up and down hills and there is some uneven terrain. Those attending should meet at the Allen Park Bandshell. The tour costs $10 for adults and $5 for Fenton History Center members. Children ages 17 and under are free. Call 664-6256 for more info.
