Celoron Village Board To Meet

CELORON — The Celoron Village Board will hold a special meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. in the Celoron Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron, to discuss and take possible action on a Consolidated Funding Grant Application. The public is welcome to attend.

Craft Time To Be Held At Church

KENNEDY — Community Craft Time at Kennedy First United Methodist Church will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon upstairs in the adult room. Those attending work on their hand project or visit with others. This is open to all adults. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets, Kennedy, and is handicapped-accessible through the lower side door.

JPS Board Sets Tuesday Meeting

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will have a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, 311 Curtis St., Jamestown.

WNY Food Bank Will Be In Ashville

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Chautauqua Lake Pops Hosts Band

MAYVILE — The Thursday, July 25, performance of the 2019 Entertainment in the Park Summer Performance Series will feature the Pittsburgh-based Tim Vitullo Band. The concert will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Chautauqua Lake Pops by the Shore floating stage behind the historic Mayville Depot across from Lakeview Hotel in Mayville. Band members include Tim Vitullo on guitar and vocals; Brent McConnell on drums and percussion; David Fix on double bass, bass guitar, and vocals; and Cody Piper on piano, keyboard, and vocals. Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain the children with creative balloon sculptures and face painting.

West Side Women To Meet

The West Side Women of Jamestown will meet at 1 p.m. July 26 at Bethel Lutheran Church, with a speaker from the Audubon Community Nature Center scheduled to make a presentation.

School Board To Meet On Monday

SHERMAN — The Sherman Central School Board will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Aug. 19, at 5:30 p.m. in room 118 at Sherman Central School. The board will also meet on Monday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
