Patterson Library Book Sale Set

WESTFIELD — Patterson Library will hold its annual book sale, “Books-N-More Galore,” taking place Thursday through Saturday during the library’s normal business hours. The sale will feature fiction, non-fiction, children’s and teen materials in hard and soft cover format. It will also feature puzzles, board games, card games, video games, audio books, DVDs, Blue Rays, Music CDs and audio cassettes. The annual book sale helps to support the budget of the Patterson Library, in order to maintain services, programming and materials, and continue Hannah Patterson’s legacy of “a library of beauty and excellence” for the community of Westfield. Class Of 1965 Meeting Thursday

The Jamestown High School Class of 1965 is meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. at the War Vets Club, 3431 Fluvanna Ave. Wings, burgers and other foods will be available, including a cash bar. The event is an informal get together, so everybody is welcome. RSVP with Ralph D’Angelo at rrdeangelo@yahoo.com.

Jimmy’s To Host Job Fair Friday

Jimmy’s Family Restaurant will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for all restaurant positions. The company is looking to hire about 30 people.

TEA Party Patriots To Meet Tuesday

The Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. The meeting will highlight a spotlight on Betsy Ross, abolitionist; a review of the Constitution by Mark Levin; Electoral College dangers; and local Swamp Report. Additionally, pictures of the great July 4 parade in Mayville will be shown, along with a report. Meetings are open to the public.

School Board To Hold Hearing

The Southwestern Central School Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the board of education room at the middle school to review changes to the Code of Conduct. A work session will following the public hearing in the same room. The public is welcome to attend.

Food Cupboard To Be Closed

The Tree of Life Food Cupboard, 825 Forest Ave., will be closed on Wednesday, July 24, and Friday, July 26. This is due to Vacation Bible School being held at the church during that week. The food cupboard will reopen on Wednesday, July 31. Regular operating hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving an area of approximately a 1 mile radius from the Tree of Life Lutheran Church.

Canine Rescue Yard Sale Set

WESTFIELD — The seventh annual Dog-Gone Good Yard Sale to benefit the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is July 26 and 27 at the shelter, 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. Donations for the sale are accepted during shelter open hours from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. No books, mattresses, TVs, electronics or clothing are accepted.
