Citizens Group Sets Meeting

SINCLAIRVILLE — A citizens group against dissolving the village of Sinclairville will hold an organizational meeting on Thursday, July 11, at 7 p.m. in the David Vern Luce Community Building, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. All those interested are welcome to attend.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Village Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Anthony C. Caprino Building. Items on the agenda include review of a New York Main Street grant request approval. The public is welcome to attend.

Vacation Bible School To Begin

CHERRY CREEK — The fifth annual Sidewalk Gang vacation Bible school will start Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dayton Free Methodist Church, 328 Pine St., South Dayton. Free Child Seat Inspection Set

The state Department of Motor Vehicles and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee will host a free child seat inspection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at 111 South St., Cattaraugus. The safety seat events aim to ensure parents and caregivers understand how to choose an appropriate seat for the child’s age and size and how to install the seat correctly. Trained technicians will use the model of “Learn, Practice, and Explain” to educate caregivers on how to select a child restraint that will fit their child, fit their vehicle and be used correctly every time. Community Craft Time To Be Held

KENNEDY — Community Craft Time at Kennedy First United Methodist Church will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon upstairs in the adult room. Those attending can work on their hand project or visit with others. Craft time is open to all adults. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. Riverfront Group Meets Tuesday

The Jamestown Riverfront Management Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk Bike Trail. Those attending are asked to meet on the Eighth Street parking lot. Items on the agenda include a tour of the bike path and an update on the Riverwalk and Parks commissions. The public is welcome to attend.

The Jamestown City Council will host a work session and council committee meetings starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 15. The public is welcome to attend.

Ceremony To Be Held Thursday

Scholarship recipients and 25- and 50-year Viking members will be honored at the Viking Lake Park on Thursday at 7 p.m. A congratulatory reception will follow the ceremony. Viking members are urged to attend.
