Astronomy Talk Set For Wed.

FREWSBURG — On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., the Martz-Kohl Observatory will be open to the public for an evening of astronomy and space science discussion. Following the discussion, the observatory will be open for both members and the public to view the night sky, weather permitting. The observatory is located at 176 Robbin Hill Road, Frewsburg. For admission, a non-member donation of $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child or student is appreciated. The Marshal Martz Memorial Astronomical Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to the amateur astronomer. The emphasis of the association is observational astronomy, well-rooted in public education and enjoyment of the starry skies.

Market Coupon Books Available

WESTFIELD — The Chautauqua County Office for the Aging will distribute Farmers Market Coupon Booklets to eligible seniors from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Westfield Farmer’s Market in Moore Park on Route 20, Westfield. Distribution will also be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the ground floor of the Covenant Manor building, 23 W. Third St., Jamestown. To be eligible, seniors must be at least 60 years old and have a monthly income at or below $1,926 for a single person household, $2,607 for a two person household, or $3,289 for a three person household. Coupon books are worth $20 with five coupons worth $4 each in a booklet.

School Group To Meet July 10

PANAMA — The Panama School WIMODAUSIS Group will meet at noon July 10 at Panama United Methodist Church. The event is for women 50 years of age or older who attended Panama Central School or is a mother or sister of that person.

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 10, at 6 p.m. in the Randolph High School library.

Quilt Guild Meets On Wednesday

BUSTI — The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet Wednesday, July 10, at the Busti Federated Church at 6:45 p.m. The program will be Christmas in July.

LAKEWOOD — The board of trustees of Lakewood Memorial Library will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in the library.

State Park Sets Outdoor Event

Allegany State Park will host its second July Outdoor Adventure Series event on fly fishing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Quaker Bathhouse. Fly fishing guide Nicholas Sagnibene will discuss and demonstrate fly fishing.
