Legion To Hold Auction Benefit

On Saturday, the Herman Kent Post Legion, 26 Jackson Ave., will host the band Happy Days starting at 8 p.m. The legion will be auctioning T-bone steaks and shrimp. Proceeds will help with maintenance. A buffet dinner will begin at 5 p.m.

Library To Hold Father/Child Event

FLUVANNA — The Fluvanna Free Library is hosting a Father’s Day, father and child event on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Chelsea Soderberg will present a father/child art project to take home. The program is open to elementary aged children and their fathers. At noon, the library will celebrate the annual summer reading program with a kickoff celebration. The theme is “A Universe of Stories” and the kickoff event will feature activities and stories suitable for young children to adult. Information and applications for the program will be available Saturday as well as during regular library hours and online at www.fluvannalibrary.org. The Fluvanna Free Library is located at 3532 Fluvanna Ave., Fluvanna, next door to the Fluvanna Fire Department. The programs are open to the public and free of charge. Board Of Trustees To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the Jamestown Campus with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Cattaraugus County Campus in Olean and the JCC North County Training Center, Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend.

Candidate To Host Open House

Raven Mason Thompson, Jamestown City Council Republican candidate for Ward 2, will host an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday. at 111 Newton Ave., Jamestown.

Library Board To Meet Wednesday

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the library. The public is welcome to attend.

Ladies Aid Annual Picnic June 20

KIANTONE — The Kiantone Congregational Church’s Ladies Aid will meet Thursday, June 20, at the fellowship hall for the annual picnic. Ladies are asked to bring a dish to pass. Twenty-eight ladies attended the Ladies Dayout luncheon. Jean Berg welcomed the group and led with a Mother’s Day prayer. Loretta Smith provided the program with a history of the ladies aid from 1874-1920s. The aid was started as the “Ladies Sewing Society.” Marilyn Lewis closed the meeting with a prayer.

Stockton Ice Cream Social Set

STOCKTON — Stockton Community Church, 4554 West Railroad Ave., Stockton, will host an ice cream social on Friday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. The music for the evening will include the youth worship team from Park United Methodist Church and the worship team from Harvest Chapel. An offering will be received. The public is invited to attend.

Development Agency To Meet

DUNKIRK — The Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency will meet Tuesday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend.
