Villagewide Yard Sale Planned

FALCONER — The village of Falconer and the Rotary Club of Falconer will sponsor the Falconer village yard sale weekend on Friday and Saturday in the village of Falconer. A map of yard sale participants may be obtained at the Falconer village clerk’s office, Falconer Library and the Falconer Vac Shack starting Friday morning. For more information, call the village of Falconer at 665-4400 or the Rotary Club of Falconer at 450-3032.

Spring Street To Close Today

Spring Street, from East Second to East Third streets in Jamestown, will be closed beginning at 5:30 a.m. today. Motorists must use an alternate route of travel. The public is reminded to use extra caution while driving and walking near construction areas.

Church To Host Spaghetti Dinner

FALCONER — The Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will host a spaghetti dinner on Thursday from 4:30-6 p.m. The price will be $8 for adults and $4 for children under 6. Dinner, salad and dessert is included. Call 665-2102 to place orders ahead of time. The church is located at 20 N. Phetteplace St., Falconer. An elevator is available. The proceeds will benefit the Mission Fund.

Registration Open For Tourney

Registration is still open for the seventh annual One Ball Tournament for Testicular Cancer at the Carroll Town Park in Frewsburg on June 22. The whiffle ball tournament for ages 21 and over begins at 9:30 a.m. with 24 teams playing games on six fields. Team registration is open at 1ball4tc.com, and teams are guaranteed three games. Entry fees are $120 per team. Each player receives a One Ball Tournament t-shirt, and teams can choose to enter one of three divisions, competitive, intermediate or “We’re Here for the Party.” Open to the public, multiple giveaways will be offered and a barbecue chicken dinner costing $9 each will be served by VMW Chapter 20 beginning at 11 a.m. until gone. All proceeds benefit the One Ball Foundation, a Jamestown based nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about testicular cancer and help support those in treatment. Informational Meeting Today

SINCLAIRVILLE — There will be an informational meeting on dissolving the village of Sinclairville on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church, 49 Sinclair Dr., Sinclairville. Speakers will be Wade Beltramo from the New York Conference of Mayors, and Kent Gardner from CGR. All those interested are asked to attend.

Local Thrift Shop

Sales Announced

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop. 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth Street, Jamestown, has men’s shirts available for $1 as part of its Father’s Day special. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays or during regular hours. Those with large donations are asked to call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in the church parking lot off of East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP.
