Golf Tournament To Be Held

The first Anew Center Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, July 28 at the South Hills Country Club, 3108 Busti-Stillwater Road, Jamestown. The cost is $70 per player and includes a golf cart, food on the course and a pulled pork dinner at the Falconer Moose, 11 Dow St., Falconer. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Anew Center. SWCS Committee To Meet Monday

Southwestern Central School class of 1959 reunion planning committee will be meeting Monday at the Lakewood Library at 10 a.m. All class members are urged to join to help plan the 60th class reunion, which will be held July 27 at the Senior Citizens Center in Stow.

Support Group Meeting Set Wed.

The Breast Cancer Support Group of Jamestown will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, for dinner at the Celoron American Legion on Jackson Avenue in the facility’s private room. The speaker following dinner will be JoAnn Nelson on healthy bones. Members are invited to bring a guest. For more information, call Pat Carr at 665-4343.

Men’s Department Dinner June 15

Emmanuel Temple Church’s Men’s Department will host a chicken or ribs dinner starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until dinners are sold out on Saturday, June 15. The menu includes chicken or ribs, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls and cake. Rib dinners are $10 and chicken dinners are $9. Soda is $1. The church is located at 1015 N. Main St., Jamestown.

Community Item Collection June 17

DEWITTVILLE — Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church’s United Methodist Women’s group is hosting a community baby item collection at the Church on Monday, June 17, at 7 p.m. with a speaker, Chinese auction and refreshments. Church is located at corner of Route 430 and Meadows Road, Dewittville.

Senior Picnic To Be Hosted July 19

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Office for the Aging will be holding its Senior Picnic at Midway State Park, 4859 Route 430, Bemus Point, on Friday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the large pavilion. Tickets are an $8 non-refundable contribution, and will only be available until July 5. Take out dinners on the day of the picnic are prohibited for food safety reasons. For tickets, call OFA at 753-4471, in Dunkirk at 363-3865 or in Jamestown at 661-8940. OFA staff will also be attending many of the Senior Club meetings in May and June to distribute tickets.

Quilters’ Guild Anniversary Set

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilters’ Guild is celebrating its 26th anniversary in June. The guild will hold a celebration picnic at the Westfield YWCA on Thursday, June 20, at 6:30 p.m. New officers will be inducted and membership dues ($15 annually) for the new year will be accepted.
