Fellowship To Host Conference

Koinonia Christian Fellowship and the Chautauqua Lake Men of Integrity have teamed up to host a “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” conference in Jamestown on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Jamestown Crystal Ballroom from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guest speaker Phil Gungor is the associate pastor at Celebration Church in Green Bay. He joined the Laugh Your Way America Ministry, with his father, Mark Gungor in 2013. Together, they provide marriage seminars across the country through a laughter approach. Tickets for the event include all four sessions and lunch for $20 per person. Limited seating is available. Tickets can be purchased at philgungor.com or kcfellowship.org and are on sale now. Church To Hold Rummage Sale

LAKEWOOD — Sacred Heart Church, Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Saturday’s sale is a bag sale, with items available for $3 a bag.

Jam Session Hours Announced

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., invites the public to participate in musical jam sessions on the following dates and times: Thursday, June 6, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 20, from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 25, from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 15, from 2-4 p.m. This program is free and open to all ages. Spaghetti Dinner Planned Sunday

ASHVILLE — A spaghetti dinner, basket auction and bake sale will be held Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at the Ashville Fire Dept., 5338 Stow Road. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Community Cat Alliance fund administered by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. The fund is designed to promote spay, neuter and give medical attention for stray animals. Spaghetti is by Brothers by Choice and the dinner will include salad, bread and a beverage. Featured among auction items available at the event is an original folk art painting by nationally known artist Ken Pease. The cost of the dinner is $10 per person and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets for the dinner and the painting are available by calling Roberta Thompson at 664-1080 or at the door.

Commission

To Meet Today

The Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commission will meet at 5 p.m. today on the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk bike trail. Those attending should meet at the West Eighth Street parking lot before proceeding to the overlook. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be held in DPW Conference Room A in the Jamestown Municipal Building. Items on the agenda include an update on the breakwater, and a report from the Riverfront Management Council/Riverwalk.

Yassou Festival On June 14-15

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s Yassou Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 14-15. The church is located at Mt. Vernon Place and Francis Street, Jamestown.
