School Board To Meet Wednesday

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. The public is invited to attend.

Historical Society Gathers Tuesday

BLOCKVILLE — Tuesday’s dinner/program for Harmony Historical Society will be on the Sons of the American Revolution. Steve Boothe, president of the local chapter, along with our historical society members Frank Stow and Tom Newton, will present information on the organization. Members of the SAR trace their family roots back to a Revolutionary War soldier, militiaman, minuteman, congressman or other person who served the cause of liberty in 1775-1783. The Chautauqua County Chapter covers Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties and the upper portion of Warren County, Pa. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring a dish to pass and table service. The program starts at 7 p.m. All programs are open to the public.

Veterans To Be Honored In Town

FREWSBURG — The town of Carroll and the Blue Star Mothers will host their eighth annual Honor and Remembrance ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Carroll’s Veterans Memorial Park on Parkway Drive, just below the Town Park. Anyone who wants to honor or remember a loved one’s service to the country can bring a geranium or other potted flower. The geraniums and flowers will be planted at the park and throughout the town in honor and remembrance of area veterans’ service.

JPS Board To Meet Wednesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the board room in the administration building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

To Be Offered

LAKEWOOD — Aspen Dental will open its dental offices to provide free care to as many as 5,000 veterans Saturday, June 8. Veterans can call 1-844-277-3646 to find a participating office near them and schedule an appointment. Locally, Aspen Dental is located at 386 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood.

JHS Class Of 1994 To Gather

The Jamestown High School Class of 1994 will celebrate its 25 year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the National Comedy Center, 203 W. Second St., Jamestown. The reunion event will be held under a tent on the back patio of the National Comedy Center from 7-11 p.m. with a cash bar, appetizers and DJ, Dancing. City Crews To Begin Road Work

Milling and paving is scheduled by Jamestown Public Works crews, weather permitting, on North Main Street from First to Third streets on Wednesday and Thursday. Cherry Street from Second to Third streets will be closed Wednesday for milling. Motorists should use alternate routes of travel and use extra caution while driving through these and all construction areas.
