Southern Tier Wrestling Sat.

Southern Tier Wrestling returns with their annual show, GoldRush this Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at Northwest Arena in Jamestown. For this show, Southern Tier Wrestling has brought in WWE Legend — The Genius, Lanny Poffo, who’ll be bringing in a team that will be taking on the dastardly team of Rob Sweet and The Landlord, with their manager SuperBeast. Tickets are on sale at the Northwest Arena box office and online at jamestownarena.com. Tickets are $25 VIP, $10 general admission and $5 for children. The show is the seventh annual JCC Wrestling Team Fundraiser.

Railroaders To Host Field Trip

The Independent Railroaders of Jamestown will host their annual field trip on Saturday. This year the destination will include two locations in the Buffalo-Niagara-Frontier region. The trip will include a visit to both the Railroad Museum of the Niagara Frontier in North Tonawanda and the Model Railroad Club of Buffalo in Tonawanda. Members will meet at the Jamestown Park N Ride at Exit 12 of Interstate 86 and Route 60 at 9 a.m. and depart at 9:15 a.m. by carpool. A private tour of the ex-Erie Railroad freight house and grounds will be given. The group will then depart for the Model Railroad Club at 54 Riverdale Ave. in Tonawanda. The club is the third oldest of its kind in the country and includes a 1200 square foot HO scale layout and a 600 square feet O scale layout. Lunch is $7 a person and includes sub sandwiches. Since both clubs are hosting the IRR, donations are encouraged.

Mother’s Day Luncheon Sat.

Emmanuel Baptist Church will host a Mother’s Day luncheon at 1 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $10.

Historical Society Work Day Set

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will have a work day on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. to clean and finalize things for the upcoming open house. All available members and any volunteers are asked to attend. Much work is still needed to get prepared. For information about the work day call Harold at 720-7611.

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point School Board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria of Maple Grove Middle-High School on Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. The public is welcome to attend.

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Ethics Board will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, May 15, at 3:15 p.m. in Room 333 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville.
