Rummage Sale Planned Thursday

The Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, 385 S Main St, Jamestown, will host a rummage sale Thursday from 5-8 p.m.; Friday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A bag sale will be held Saturday.

Auxiliary Board Meets Thursday

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The monthly Auxiliary meeting will be held Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held. The speaker for the evening will be sharing a slide presentation from RSVP Foster Grandparents. Greeters will be Jan DeVoe and Lyn Spencer. Helpers are Sandy Carlson and Coralyn Boehler. Refreshments will be provided by Jan Moran and Sally Gregory. Sign up sheets will be available for volunteers to work summer functions or hand out membership cards. The annual summer picnic/chicken barbecue will be held on Monday, June 10. The cost will be $10 per person. Members attending may bring one guest. Library Hosts Book Sale

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit St., is holding its spring book sale Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

School Board Gathers Tuesday

PANAMA — The Panama Board of Education will hold its annual budget hearing Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. There will also be a scheduled board meeting following the hearing in the board room. The public is welcome to attend both meetings.

Beekeepers Group To Meet

The May meeting of the Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Ring Precision on Turner Road in Jamestown. The association will discuss spring management in addition to swarms and bait hives. The public is welcome to attend.

Citizens Group Meets Thursday

CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library. Planting in Ames Common and other future projects will be discussed. All area residents are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Church To Hold Spring Bazaar

The staff and residents at Lutheran will be hosting a Spring Craft and Vendor Bazaar on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will be held inside Christ Chapel on the Lutheran Campus at 715 Falconer St. More than 20 vendors will be in attendance. Handmade items, beach glass and art, books, paintings and jewelry will be available at the event. Packaged lunches will also be available for sale on-site.
