Market Moving In Falconer

FALCONER — Beginning Tuesday, June 4, the Falconer Farmers’ Market will be located at 56 E. Main St., across from Burger King. The new market hours are 1-6 p.m. every Tuesday and will run through the end of October. A wide variety of locally grown products, including fruits, vegetables, fresh baked goods, eggs, jams, honey, maple syrup and herbs. There will also be an array of flowers, plants, home-crafted goods and seasonal items for sale. New vendors are welcome. Parking in the village is free. Museum To Open Sunday

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society museum in Sinclairville will open on Sunday for the first time this year. The museum will be open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. with no admission charge. The museum will be open every Sunday through September except on holiday weekends. The next opening will be Sunday, May 19.

Photo Exhibit To Be On Display

LAKEWOOD — A photo exhibit by Maria Malmstrom will be held throughout the month of May at the Lakewood Library. 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood. The exhibition, called “Scandinavian Scenes,” will include photographs from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. A reception will be held Thursday at the library from 5-6:30 p.m.

JCC To Host Auditions Today

Jamestown Community College will hold auditions from 6-9 p.m. today and Thursday for its fall musical, “West Side Story.” Performances will be held in November. Julie Costantini will direct JCC’s production, which is based on a book by Arthur Laurents and featuring music by Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein. “West Side Story,” inspired by William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, is set in the Upper West Side of New York City in the mid-1950s. The musical focuses on the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, teenage street gangs.

Town Cleanup Planned May 17

STOCKTON — A townwide cleanup will be held in Stockton for residents only on Friday, May 17, from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Trash can be delivered to the highway department storage building, 4696 W. Railroad Ave., Stockton. No garbage, including tires, liquid waste, paints or oils with Freon will be accepted.

PVCS Board To Meet On Tuesday

PINE VALLEY — The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the board room (Elementary School Room 11) to discuss a superintendent search. It is anticipated that the board will go into executive session to discuss matters relating to the hiring of a new superintendent. There will be no action taken at this meeting

Retired Workers Meet In Warren

The Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees will meet on Thursday, May 9, at Perkins Restaurant on Ludlow Street in Warren, Pa., at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Tye Cresman from CEF LLC in Meadville, Pa.
