Church To Host Theater Show

The Winged Ox Players will present “Vanya and Sophie and Masha and Spike” by Christopher Durang, as a staged Reader’s Theater for mature audience on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the church undercroft. Tickets are $10 at the door. Refreshments will be available for donation. The evening will also feature a giveaway. Church To Hold Rummage Sale

CHERRY CREEK — The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with a bag and bake sale. For donations, call 296-8083 or 450-0820. Computers and printers are not accepted for donations.

Cemetery To Host Meeting

FREWSBURG — The Fentonville Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on May 4 at the residence of Mary L. Himes, 25 Cherry St., Frewsburg, at 1 p.m. The meeting will consist of the election of officers and any other business that may come before the group. Anyone interesting in becoming a lot owner or who is a lot owner is welcome to attend.

Society To Go On Field Trip

The Leon Historical Society will host a historical field trip to Bradford, Pa., on Friday, May 10. The group will meet at 10:45 a.m. at the Leon church on Route 62 to form car pools and then leave to arrive at the Bradford’s Landmark Society’s headquarters in the historic Herbig Bakery at noon. Members are asked to bring their own lunches. The Landmark Society’s director and staff will tell us how they originated, what they do and display artifacts and documents. From there the group will travel to Crooks Farm, where the original 1847 Crooks Farmhouse is located accompanied by other historic buildings. Pride Day To Be Held Saturday

FALCONER — The 24th annual Falconer Village Pride Day will be held Saturday regardless of weather. The village-wide cleanup begins at 9 a.m. at the Falconer Fire Department. Those participating are asked to bring their own rakes, brooms, gloves and other materials. The village will provide the garbage bags. A complimentary lunch will be provided for all workers.

Park Day To Be Held Saturday

MAPLE SPRINGS — Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua will host its third annual “I Love My Park Day” event sponsored by the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and Parks and Trails from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. A free t-shirt and lunch will be given to volunteers. To register, visit ptny.org/events/i-love-my-park-day.

Craft Fair Planned In Findley Lake

FINDLEY LAKE — A craft fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Findley Lake Fire Hall, 10372 Main St., Findley Lake. Homemade lunch and desserts served by board members and volunteers of the Alexander Findley Community Library will be available. All proceeds support the library.
