Foot Care Clinic To Be Held

Susz Podiatry of Jamestown will be partnering with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St., Jamestown, this year to provide a free foot care clinic for community members on Maundy Thursday from 9-11 a.m. in the church undercroft. The local podiatrist and staff will be on hand that morning to offer foot baths, diabetic foot exams and more. These basic services will be offered to the public at no cost, and are again being offered at St. Luke’s as a way of honoring the age-old tradition of ceremonial foot washing that is done in many churches on the Thursday before Easter in remembrance of Christ’s washing of the Apostles feet.

School Board To Meet Wednesday

RIPLEY — A regular meeting of the Ripley School Board will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the IRLA Library (Room 204) of the Ripley Central School. The meeting is open to the public.

Church Ladies Gather Thursday

KIANTONE — The Kiantone Congregational Church Ladies Aid will meet Thursday at the fellowship hall. Seventeen ladies met for the March meeting. Marilyn Lewis and Melissa Von Kleist were hostesses. Jean Berg opened with a prayer and led the meeting. Loretta Smith provided devotions from “Stardust Poems.” Karen Swanson read the secretary’s report and Joan Spontaneo read the treasurer’s report. Marilyn Lewis shared the March letter from missionary Amy Miller. A new sign-up sheet for hostess/devotions was passed around. There was a discussion for ideas with the Ladies Dayout luncheon. Cindy Hotchkiss closed the meeting with a prayer.

Town Hall To Be Held Wednesday

OLEAN — U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, will host a Social Security Town Hall meeting Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the Olean Community Center, 112 N. Barry St., Olean. Please call 607-654-7566 with any questions.

Car Club To Meet At War Vets

The Antique Car Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the War Vets Recreation Club on Fluvanna Avenue. New members are welcome. Those attending do not need an antique car to belong. For more information call 287-3754.

JPS To Gather On Tuesday

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend. Agenda items include adoption of the 2019-20 district budget, an expected executive session to discuss negotiations with the Jamestown Teachers Association, Jamestown Paraprofessionals Association and an employee discipline matter, and grant agreements to help pay for the districts’ Summer LEAP program.

Film Series Planned At JCC

RiverBlue will be shown on Wednesday as part of Jamestown Community College’s “Our Planet, Our Choice” film series. The film, free and open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Carnahan Center Theatre. The screening is sponsored by JCC’s Earth Awareness Club and sustainability committee. RiverBlue brings awareness to the destruction of some of the world’s most vital rivers through the manufacture of clothing.
