Easter Cantata Set For Saturday

ELLINGTON — The Baptist Church of Ellington will present its Easter cantata, “It Is Finished” at 4 p.m. Saturday. A ham and turkey dinner will be served following the cantata. The dinner and cantata are free and open to the public.

Citizens To Meet

ELLERY — Ellery Senior Citizens met recently at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Those serving on the kitchen committee were Mary Carpenter and Maureen Langebartel. The program featured Cherrie Clark, town of Ellery historian who spoke about the old one-room school houses and shared photos. Kay Crossley led the flag salute to open the business meeting, Jan Stowell presented devotions about St. Patrick, his life and devotion to God. Mary Beth and Paul Mazzone were welcomed as new members and Phyllis Starr and Becky Sheesely celebrated birthdays. The treasurer reported that a donation was sent to Chautauqua County Dive Team in memory of Jean Telchow. The next meeting will be today where all will enjoy Bingo with prizes. Members are to bring a dish to pass and table service.

Ripley School Board Meet Tues.

RIPLEY — A special meeting of the Ripley School Board will be held Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. in room 104 of the Ripley Central School. The board will be voting on the BOCES administrative budget and election of the BOCES board.

April Busti Fire Dept. Meeting

BUSTI — The April meeting of the Busti Fire Dept. Auxiliary will be held Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the Busti Fire Hall. The group will discuss the Easter egg hunt being held Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at the Busti Town Park with the Busti Men’s Club and also the county auxiliary meeting on May 1. All interested members are asked to attend. New members are welcome.

Historical Society Program Begins

BLOCKVILLE — Tuesday, April 16, begins the 2019 dinner/programs for the Harmony Historical Society. This year the society will focus on North Harmony history. Dan Thomas, North Harmony historian, will present an overview of the town along with photos and an exhibit to kick off the 100th anniversary of the forming of the town of North Harmony. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring a dish to pass and table service. The program starts at 7 p.m. All programs are open to the public.

JCC Trustees Set To Meet Tuesday

The next meeting of the Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the Jamestown campus with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Cattaraugus County Campus and JCC North County Training Center. The public is welcome to attend.

Bemus School Board Meet Mon.

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point School Board will meet Monday at the Maple Grove Middle-High School cafeteria. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.

Foster Cemetery Meeting Set Mon.

LANDER — The annual meeting of the Foster Cemetery Association will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lander United Methodist Church. All interested persons are invited to attend.
