Golden Agers To Meet At Legion

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Lakewood American Legion on Chautauqua Avenue. The spring dinner that was to be held has been cancelled. Land Bank To Meet Wednesday

Retired Workers Gather In Warren

WARREN — The Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Variety Buffet in the North Warren Wal-Mart complex. Lunch will follow from the menu. The speaker will be Jenny Franklin from the Warren Library. For more information, call 814-726-7272.

Lenten Services At City Church

The First Presbyterian and First Covenant community midweek Lenten service and luncheon will continue Wednesday at noon in the Bellinger Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, 509 Prendergast Ave., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Riverfront Council Meets Today

The Jamestown Riverfront Management Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the mayor’s conference room on the fourth floor of City Hall. Items on the agenda include riverfront events discussions, an update on the Riverwalk and updates from the city Parks Commission. The public is welcome to attend.

Area Thrift Shop

Sales Announced

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will have a bag sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. All bags are $3 or two for $5. The shop will be closed the week of April 15 in observance of Holy Week and reopen the week of April 25 with spring and summer merchandise. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays or during regular business hours. Those with large donations are asked to call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP. All proceeds are used locally.

School Board To Meet April 16

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School Board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:15 a.m., to vote on the BOCES budget and the BOCES Board of Education.

Easter Egg Hunt At Local Church

NORTH HARMONY — The North Harmony United Methodist Church, 6814 Sherman-Stedman Road, is hosting a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday April 20, starting at 1 p.m. For children from birth to 12 years old. Those who attend are asked to bring their own Easter basket and to dress for the outdoors.
