Water Board To Meet Thursday

DUNKIRK — The North Chautauqua County Water District Administrative Board will meet Thursday at Fireside Manor Restaurant, 5377 W. Lake Road, Dunkirk, at 4 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Beekeepers Group To Gather

The Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Ring Precision on Turner Road, Airport Hill, Jamestown. The agenda includes a general discussion of honey bees, availability and spring management. A demonstration of Randy Oliver’s Varroa model is planned. All are welcome.

Fenton Lecture On Wednesday

The Fenton History Center will host its first Brown Bag lecture of the 2019 season from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday featuring David L. George-Shongo Jr., who will talk about the new Seneca-Iroquois National Museum in Salamanca. The event is open to the public.

SCCS Reunion Input Sought

SILVER CREEK — The organizing committee for the Silver Creek Central School Music Alumni Reunion Performance is again reaching out to all vocal and instrumental alumni of the SCCS music program to RSVP as soon as possible to facilitate music selection and time to practice. Citizens Group Meets Thursday

CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library. The community calendar and upcoming events will be discussed. All area residents are encouraged to attend.

School Board To Meet Thursday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will hold its regular meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the middle-high school multi-purpose room.

Historical Society To Host Speaker

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Historical Society will host Cristie Herbst on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to discus the Barcelona Fishery. The public is welcome to attend.

Basketball Clinic At Salvation Army

The Jamestown Salvation Army is hosting a free basketball clinic for children in second through seventh grades sponsored by the Chautauqua Hurricane. The clinic will take place Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, at the Salvation Army’s 83 S. Main St. location. All children must be pre-registered to participate in the clinic. Registration forms can be picked up at the Salvation Army Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and noon and 1-3:30 p.m. Anyone with questions about the clinic can reach out through The Salvation Army Jamestown NY Facebook page or email samantha.lockard@use.salvationarmy.org.

Library Board To Gather Thursday

LAKEWOOD — The board of the Lakewood Memorial Library will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the library.
