Special Social Program In April

The Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter is offering a special social program in Jamestown in April for those diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers to encourage them to socialize, learn and enjoy time with their partners and with others facing similar challenges. Visual Journaling Class In Westfield

WESTFIELD — A visual journaling class will begin in April at Westfield Academy and Central School. Visual journals are a place to engage and reflect with the world. Those participating can write, draw, doodle, paste, rip, tear, crumble, or scribble all they want. A visual journal is a personal creative book that enables someone to personalize and document their discovery, development and educational journey. The class will begin sometime in April. Registration fees, day of the week and times will be determined. Food Handler Course Monday

MAYVILLE — The next Chautauqua County Certified Food Handler Class will be held on Monday, April 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. The class will be taught at the Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Services, 2 Academy St., in the former Mayville Central School building. Those attending should use the rear parking lot entrance by the bus garage. Pre-registration is required by calling 753-4693. The cost is $40 for for-profit organizations and $25 for non-profits. Certification is valid for five years.

Jamestown Class Of 1964 Reunion

The Jamestown High School Class of 1964 is planning its 55th reunion. The dates have been set for July 19 and July 20. The venue for the 19th is still to be determined, as is the cost of each night. The Celoron Legion will host the event on the 20th. More details will be made available at a later date. There will be no mailings, so the group is relying on emails and Facebook, as well as word of mouth. Reservations can be sent to dickcole046@gmail.com or rrdangelo@yahoo.com.

Panama Cemetery Annual Meeting

The Greenwood Cemetery Association of Panama will hold its annual meeting Wednesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. at the home of Terry Lindberg, 1314 Newland Ave., Jamestown. Officers will be elected at the meeting, trustees and contracting for cemetery maintenance. Call 720-0683 with more information.

5-Hour Course Held In Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School on Monday, April 8, from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $25. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, students are asked to have their permits on hand.
