Antique Group Meets Tuesday

LAONA — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Laona Methodist Church, 9636 Wilson Road, Fredonia. All members are asked to attend.

Rotary Breakfast Planned April 6

BROCTON — The Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club’s “Rotary Scholarship Pancake Breakfast” will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 8-11 a.m. in the Brocton Central School cafeteria, 138 W. Main St., Brocton. All net proceeds from this event will fund the Rotary club’s scholarships for some graduating high school seniors from the Brocton, Chautauqua Lake, Sherman and Westfield School Districts. The menu includes pancakes (all-you-can-eat) with pure maple syrup, sausage, applesauce and coffee, tea or grape juice. Also, there will be a Chinese auction with an array of gift baskets and items for all ages, and Harrington Farms will have jugs of its pure maple syrup available for sale. Plenty of parking is available in the rear lot on the west side of the school. Tickets need to be purchased by Monday, April 1, and are $7 for adults, $5 for children and for children under 5.

Tea Party Pats Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD — The Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. Prager’s video “Socialism v.s. Capitalism” will be shown. Will Witt for Prager University will speak on “Americans Don’t Know Their Own History.” The issue of dividing New York into New Amsterdam and New York will be addressed. Meetings are open to the public.

Mobile Pantry

To Be At Church

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Those receiving food should bring their own bags or boxes. For more information, call Martha at 763-9252.

Lakewood To Host Town Hall

The village of Lakewood will host a town hall-style meeting for village residents who would like to share their experiences living near Chautauqua Lake and have the opportunity to suggest treatment options to the board of trustees. Trustees have accepted environmental findings and will vote on whether to apply herbicides in Lakewood waters at an upcoming regular meeting this spring. The town hall meeting will be hosted at the Lakewood American Legion at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The meeting is open to village residents only.

Lenten Services Continue Wed.

The Lutheran Community midweek Lenten services and luncheon will continue Wednesday at noon in the Memorial Chapel of the First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler St., Jamestown. Guest pastor leading worship will be the Rev. Phillip Roushey, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg. Pastor Roushey’s meditation will be on “The Lord’s Prayer.” A 12:30 p.m. luncheon will follow in the church parlors served by the ladies of the First Lutheran Altar Society for a nominal fee.
