CLCSF To Hold Signups Thurs.

The Chautauqua Lake Community Sailing Foundation is hosting a signup meeting on Thursday at the Auditorium above the city clerk’s office in Lakewood. The meeting will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. All high school students and their families who are curious or interested in learning more about the sailing team or signing up should attend. Signing up is not required to attend, however, attendance is required for anyone interested in joining. Pizza and refreshments will be provided for all in attendance. CLCSF will have their sailing director and high school sailing team in attendance to answer questions about sailing, racing, the program and the foundation in general. This meeting is held before the start of the sailing season in preparation for the start of sailing practices.

Discolored Water May Be Seen

Jamestown Board of Public Utilities water customers along Hunt Road in West Ellicott, Celoron and parts of Lakewood could see discolored water today through Thursday morning. Crews will tie two water lines together between Southwestern Drive and the Jamestown city line on Hunt Road starting early Wednesday morning.

CVCS Board Sets Hearing

SINCLAIRVILLE — Cassadaga Valley Central School District will hold a budget work session and public hearing on Monday, March 25, at 6 p.m. in the middle high school multi-purpose room. The public hearing will be regarding the Smart Schools Bond Investment Plan. The public is welcome to attend.

Legion Slates Bluegrass Night

The Herman Kent Post American Legion, 26 Jackson Ave., West Ellicott, Jamestown, hosts Blue Grass night every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. There is a dinner special plus snack menu available. The public is welcome to attend. There is no cover charge. For more information, call 483-0777.

Cemetery Spring Cleanup To Start

Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown will be performing its spring cleanup beginning the first week in April. Anyone wishing to save items at grave sites should remove all items by Monday, April 1.This would include such items as wreaths, solar lights and flower arrangements. Any items remaining at grave sites after April 1 will be removed by cemetery staff and kept at the maintenance garage through the end of April and will then be disposed.

St. John’s To Hold Fish Fry

St. John’s Holy Apostles Roman Catholic Church, 270 Newton Ave., Jamestown, will host its weekly Friday fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal includes choice of battered or broiled fish or shrimp combos for $10 for adults and $8 for children. Vegetable lasagna and macaroni and cheese is also available for $8. Take-out orders are accepted after 3 p.m. by calling 484-8334.

Antique Auto Club To Meet

FLUVANNA — The Antique Auto Club will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the War Vets Recreation Club on Fluvanna Avenue. The group welcomes new members with or without an antique car. For more information, call Greg at 287-3754.
