Legion Breakfast Held On Sunday

On March 17, Herman Kent Post Legion 777, 26 Jackson Ave., Jamestown, is having breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Breakfast is fresh made to order. Small breakfast includes eggs, home fries, choice of meat and toast for $4. Large breakfast includes the above plus choice of pancakes, French toast or sausage gravy on biscuits for $6. Historical Society Meeting Monday

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will have their first meeting of the new year at 7 p.m. Monday at the Carroll Historical Society building, 5 W. Main St., Frewsburg, behind the town hall. The group will discuss an open house, interior renovation work and a fundraiser. All members are asked to attend. Membership dues will be collected. The public is welcome to attend.

Winter Series Interview Tuesday

Turner Winter Series Host Greg Peterson announced that a special lecture for this year’s series, an interview with former sheriff and current Chautauqua Institution Director of Campus Security and Safety Joseph Gerace, will take place at the regularly scheduled time of 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Turner Community Center. Peterson will ask questions of Gerace regarding his past 24-year career as Chautauqua County’s sheriff and his new responsibilities at Chautauqua Institution.

Free Fredonia Program Set

FREDONIA — The Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter has scheduled a free education program in Fredonia at 2 p.m. March 21. The public is invited to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and specifically how to make legal and financial plans after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or other type of dementia. Chapter dementia experts will lead the program at the Concord Estates, 441 Temple St. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling 800-272-3900 or 626-0600.

RIPLEY — The Ripley School Board will meet Wednesday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the IRLA Library (Room 204) of the Ripley Central School. The public is welcome to attend.

Support Group To Meet March 21

An Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York caregiver support group meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 21 at Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Ave., Ext., Jamestown. Respite services or pre-registration are available by calling 800-272-3900. Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure there are enough materials and to relay any changes to the schedules. Information about dementia and caregiver resources are available through the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging at 753-4582.
