Church To Host Soup Fiesta

Emmanuel Temple Church, 1015 N. Main St., Jamestown, will be sponsoring a Soup Fiesta and community give away Saturday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Hot dogs will also be served for children.

MS Rap Group To Meet Saturday

The Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Rap Group will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the auditorium of the Jones Hill Memorial Rehabilitation Center, first floor, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown. The support group is semi-structured. Snacks are provided. Those affected by the disease, including family and friends, are welcomg to attend. For more information, call Debbie Lane at 962-9401.

Hospital To Host Blood Drive

A blood drive by Community Blood Bank will be held Monday from 8 a.m. to noon at UPMC Chautauqua in the auditorium. To be eligible to donate blood, individuals must be at least 17 years of age (16 with a signed Community Blood Bank parent consent form); however there is no upper age limit as long as the donor is healthy. In addition, donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and not have donated whole blood in the past 56 days. Photo identification is required at the time of registration as well as a list of medications attendees are currently taking.

City VFW To Host Fundraiser

The Jamestown VFW will host its meat giveaway at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Jamestown Veterans Club on Fluvanna Avenue next to Arby’s. The public is welcome to attend. Proceeds benefit John W. Tiffany VFW Post 53.

Perform Cantata

NORTH HARMONY — “Good News From Heaven,” a cantata put together by Mary Jane Miller, will be presented with a combined choir from Magnolia, North Harmony and Open Meadows United Methodist Churches on Sunday at 12:45 pm. at the North Harmony Church. Cordelia Bowen has written the narrations she will share. Pastor Joe Osborne, Tracy Brown and Heather Green are soloists, and Mary Jane Miller is the accompanist/director. A tureen dinner will follow the performance. The public is invited to attend.

Poland Senior Citizens To Meet Dec. 19

POLAND — The Poland Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at noon at the Kennedy Fire Hall for a catered luncheon by 3-C’s Catering. The cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members. Firm reservations must be made by Monday. To make reservations, call Sally Patchen at 487-9758. The Falconer High School Choir will present a program of Christmas music for the group.

County IDA Board To Meet Tuesday

DUNKIRK — The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the State University at Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend. The IDA’s Governance Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the incubator.
