SWCS Board To Meet Tuesday

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Toys For Kids Drive To Be Held

The Chautauqua County Highway Superintendents Association is holding its annual Toys for Kids drive. To participate, donate an wrapped gift costing $10 or less by Dec. 11. Toys can be dropped off at the Chautauqua County Executive’s Office in the Gerace Office Building, Room 341, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Author To Sign Books At Library

Judd Hamilton will host book readings and signings in the coming weeks. The first will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., Jamestown, followed by a reading from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Covenant Church, 520 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown, and a reading from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at Jamestown Community College’s Collegiate Center, 525 Falconer St., Jamestown. Hamilton is the author of Thank God For My Addiction: A Journey Into The Inner Heart And Mind Of An Addict.

Mobile Pantry Truck To Visit

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday. Open hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Holiday Tree Lighting Is Set

BUSTI — The Busti Fire Department and Busti Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary will host the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Busti Fire Hall. Santa Claus will be arriving to see all the children. Cookies, cocoa and coffee will be served.

Community Craft Time Wednesday

KENNEDY — Community craft time at Kennedy First United Methodist Church will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon in the fellowship room. Those attending can work on individual project or a group project. The craft time is open to all adults. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets, Kennedy, and is handicapped-accessible through the lower side door.

Holiday Bazaar Set For Nov. 30

CHAUTAUQUA — The Smith Memorial Library, 21 Miller Ave., Chautauqua Institution, will host the Chautauqua Fire Auxiliary’s annual Christmas Bazaar, featuring crafts, baked goods, holiday items and a gift basket giveaway. The bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Proceeds benefit the Chautauqua Fire Department.
