City Zoning Board To Meet Today

The Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 3:30 p.m. today in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Jamestown Municipal Building, 200 E. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Randolph History Society To Meet

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Historical Society will host speaker Annette Waite today at the Randolph Municipal Building. Annette will be speaking about ships of the past on Chautauqua Lake. All are invited to attend the meeting.

RTPI To Host New Fall Exhibit

The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will host Art After 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday featuring the new fall exhibition, Alberto Rey’s “Extinct Birds Project,” live music on the patio by local musician Rebecca McIlvain, catered beverages and light hors d’oeuvres. The cost is a $10 donation. The event is sponsored by Pat and Mark Evans of Warren. The event will proceed rain or shine, and is exclusively for guests ages 21 and over. Local Gas Prices Hold Steady

Gas prices in Jamestown held steady again this week at $3.037 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. Gas prices continue to trend flat across the mid-Atlantic and northeast states. Inventories added a surprise for this time of year- landing at 837,000 barrels, according to the latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) data. The region was the only to see an inventory build over the week. At 64 million barrels in total, the region is sitting on a 1.5 million surplus, which is helping to keep gas prices flat and cheaper than earlier this summer. This week’s average price for Jamestown: $3.037. Average price during the week of Sept. 5, 2017, $2.588.

LEED Home To Hold Open House

The Kanfer family is hosting an open house at their LEED Home located at 88 North Lake in the Chautauqua Institution on Friday from 5-9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 21 from 5-9 p.m. and Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tours will commence on each hour. The open house is part of a public education program on green home design. The tours will share the environmental approach of the design and construction of the home. Westfield Quilters Guild To Meet

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilters’ Guild invites everyone to attend its 2018 Quilt Show, “A Silver Lining, 25 Years of Learning and Sharing,” on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at the Westfield YWCA. Come and enjoy the many quilts on display, browse the boutique featuring handmade items, baked goods, and other items available for purchase.

Marco Polo Club To Hold Dinner

The Marco Polo Club will hold a spaghetti dinner Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at 1027 East Second St. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. The public is welcome to attend.
