Cassadaga Board To Meet

The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. in the board’s conference room. The meeting is open to the public. The board will also meet for a special meeting on Tuesday, June 26, at 5 p.m.

Outdoor Club To Host Kayak Trip

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak at the lagoon at Presque Isle on Wednesday. Those wishing to take part are asked to meet at Betts Field at 9 a.m. to drive to Presque Isle. For more information, call Bob Stranger at 814-484-3372.

Attorney Meeting Set For Friday

There will be an important meeting with attorney Chuck DeAngelo on Friday. at 10 a.m. at the Friendly’s Restaurant. DeAngelo will answer all questions concerning the dissolving of the Falconer Seniors organization. The group would like as many members to be in attendance for the meeting.

Ladies Aid Society To Meet Thursday

The Kiantone Congregational Church Ladies Aid Society will meet Thursday at the fellowship hall for a pot luck luncheon. Ladies are asked to bring a dish to pass. Twenty-four women attended the Ladies Day Out lunch at Cable Hollow Country Club recently. Jean Berg opened with a prayer. Michelle Henry, county historian, was the guest speaker and provided an informative history of the Underground Rairoad in this area. No business meeting was conducted. Marilyn Lewis closed the meeting with a prayer.

Infinity Center To Host Orientation

If you’re interested in music, art, dance, theater or literature then come down to Infinity’s next new student orientation session on Thursday, June 21, and see all that Infinity has to offer. Take a guided tour, meet the Infinity staff and register for lessons. Please contact the Infinity Center at 664-0991 to register for a session and reserve your spot today. Outdoor Club To Meet On July 1

RUSSELL, Pa. — On Sunday, July 1, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold a planning meeting, hike and picnic to schedule events for July, August and September at the home of Debra and John Young at 1588 Townline Road, Russell. The short hike will start at 2 p.m. The planning meeting will start after the hike and it will be followed by a dish-to-pass picnic, with hot dogs and beverages provided. Area Summerfest Event Needs Help

The village of Lakewood is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s Summerfest event on the Fourth of July. Anyone who volunteers this year will have special reserved seating at Richard O’Hartley Park for the concert and fireworks show. Volunteers will also receive free tickets to the Kidz Zone, and a certificate for community service. For information and to reserve your spot, please contact the village offices at 763-8557.
