Paint And Sip Event At Church
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s will host a Paint and Sip using mixed media to benefit St. Luke’s Children of the Book Summer Reading Program. The event will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the undercroft of St. Luke’s Church. The fee of $35 includes all supplies, instruction, snacks and a beverage. Cemetery Group Meets Thursday
The Grant Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Niobe Church. All lot owners are welcome to attend. For more information call Carrie Finnerty at 782-4605.
School Board To Guest Monday
Members of the Falconer Board of Education will be guests of Ross Grange at their meeting Monday at the Falcons Nest Banquet Hall. A tureen meal will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program. There will be time for questions about Falconer education. The community is invited and encouraged to attend. Beverages and table service will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. At a recent meeting, Ross members worked on a community service project, making mats for the homeless out of recycled plastic bags.
Pantry Truck
To Be In Ashville
ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York’s mobile pantry truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. Tuesday. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive food, recipients must bring a proof of address showing they live at one of the following ZIP codes: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Thule Lodge To Meet Thursday
BEMUS POINT — The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, Bemus Point, will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. in the lodge. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served following the meeting. The Thule Lodge is the Swedish organization which preserves the Swedish heritage through events and activities. New members are welcome.
Library To Host Genealogy Class
FREWSBURG — The Myers Memorial Library will host a genealogy class at 6 p.m., Thursday. Library historian Harold Bennett will guide participants through the process, regardless of whether participants are beginners or advanced researchers. Registration is required by calling 569-5515.
Area Theta Beta Sorority Met
Theta Beta Sorority met at the home of Mary Rogers on April 12. Bob Rogers spoke about CASA Come to the Table. Members discussed and decided to donate a basket for the basket auction at CTTT. Other service projects were discussed. Seven members participated in the Laureate Ritual. Susie Hayes chose the travelling basket. Tracie Smith won the white elephant. Nancy Palmer and Rose Van Volkenburg were co-hostesses. The next meeting will be Thursday at the Stockton Hotel.
