To Meet Today
The Town of Randolph Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing in the Randolph Municipal Building today at 7 p.m. to consider a special use permit to install a six-foot high fence between property at 166 Main St. and 168 Main St.
Leaf Collection Begins Today
ELLICOTT — The Town of Ellicott will begin leaf collection on today. Crews will begin on Southwestern Drive and work toward Townline Road. Highway employees will make two complete passes of the town. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the edge of the road, not mix sticks or brush with the leaves, and not fill ditches or block catch basin grates to allow stormwater to flow. Leaf pickup will conclude Nov. 17.
TEA Party To Meet Tuesday
Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. Prager video, “If I Were a Principal, This is What I’d Do,” will be shown. John Wayne’s, “The Hyphen,” will explain American versus hyphenated Americans. Liz Wheeler’s take down of late-night hosts on gun control will be viewed along with an introduction on tax reform. Skip Axelson will discuss his experience at Tom Reed’s town hall. Scott Axelson will explain Trump’s tax plan. Meetings are open to the public.
Southwestern BOE To Meet
The Southwestern Central school board will hold a work session meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in elementary school library. The meeting will discuss school business. The public is welcome to attend.
Jamestown BOE To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at the Administration Building of the Jamestown City School District, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
Library To Host Dementia Talk
FREWSBURG — The Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg will host a program on dementia basics on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The talk will be presented by Chautauqua Opportunities Alzheimer’s Services and will include information on differences between Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia, first symptoms and importance of early detection. This event is free and open to the public.
Lights On Event Set For Thursday
WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library in Westfield will take part in Lights On Afterschool from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday. The program is a joint effort of the YWCA of Westfield and Patterson Library. The groups will celebrate afterschool programs and their role in the lives of children, families and communities. Stories, crafts and refreshments for school-aged children will be available.
