Food Truck

To Visit Today

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today. Open hours are 9:30 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some stable items. To receive free food, proof of address showing the recipient lives at one of the following zip codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Support Group

To Host Rumfelt

On Wednesday, the Fenton History Support Group will host Pastor Dan Rumfelt. He will present “Researching Your German Ancestors.” Organizers say the discussion will be informative to both the beginner and the more advanced researcher. The program will be held at 6 p.m. at the Hall House Research Library on Forest Avenue in Jamestown. There is no cost to attend. For more information, call 664-6256.

Collection Today

Jamestown’s Hispanic community is asking for donations to be sent to Puerto Rico. Collections of perishable food items, bottled water, toiletries and hygiene products will be collected at the Morton Club on Pratt Avenue from 1-7 p.m. today and Wednesday. Ripley BOE To Meet Thursday

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21, has been rescheduled for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Business Office (Room 119) of Ripley Central School. The public is welcome to attend.

Thule Lodge To Meet Thursday

BEMUS POINT– The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will meet this Thursday at 7 p.m. for the monthly meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. Thule Lodge serves to preserve the Swedish heritage, and new members are always welcome.

TRC Fall

Festival Is Friday

The public is invited to attend when The Resource Center holds its annual fall festival Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at TRC’s Day Habilitation Program, 321 Hazeltine Ave., Jamestown. Activities will include a bake sale, a used book sale, LuLaRoe items, a drawing for a basket full of lottery tickets, and a petting zoo featuring an assortment of small animals. For $6, people may have a lunch consisting of chili, a corn bread muffin, and soda or water. Those interested in having lunch should place their order by Wednesday by calling 661-4869. Money raised during the fall festival will benefit The Resource Center’s Day Habilitation Programs, which support people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Lakers To Hold Family Reunion

The Jamestown Lakers Youth Hockey Alumni will hold a family reunion on Nov. 25 at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. Past players, coaches and family members are invited to attend. Reunion coordinators will be hosting an informational meeting on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Xpress hockey game to discuss ideas for the reunion.
