Outdoor Club To Meet Tomorrow

On Thursday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold a planning meeting to schedule events for October, November and December at the home of Debra and John Young, 1588 Townline Road, Russell. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a dish-to-pass dinner followed by the planning meeting. Genco To Speak At Cemetery

MAYVILLE — Sam Genco, local area historian and tour guide at Lakewood Cemetery, will speak about the adventures of Alonzo Sampson, the whaler, adventurer and author who is buried in Cattaraugus County, at the meeting of the Chautauqua Township Historical Society. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sid Compton Room in the former Mayville High School building, 2 Academy St. The public is invited to attend. Rummage Sale Set For Friday

A rummage and bake sale will be held at the East Randolph United Methodist Church on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The church is located at 122 Church St. in East Randolph. All proceeds from the sale will go to the mission.

Spaghetti Dinner Set For Saturday

The Mt. Sinai-Mecca Chapter Order of the Eastern Star will host its annual public spaghetti dinner on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 3485 Baker Street Ext. Take-out orders are available. Adult tickets are $9 and children’s orders are $5. There will also be a basket giveaway. The public is welcome to attend. Tickets are available from members or at the door.

Magnolia United To Hold Dinner

The Magnolia United Methodist Church, 3969 Route 394, north of Stow, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday. The meal includes meatballs, homemade sauce, salad, garlic bread, cake and beverage. Take-outs will be available. The cost is a donation and proceeds benefit local mission projects and church maintenance.

Harvest Dinner Set For Saturday

The Watts Flats United Methodist Church, Blockville-Watts Flats Road, will hold its annual Harvest Dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday. The meal will a homemade turkey dinner with all the trimmings, including homemade pies. The cost is $9 for adults; $3 for children, ages 6-12 and free for children under age 5.

CLN To Celebrate 25th Anniversary

RIPLEY — The Chautauqua Leadership Network will celebrate its 25th anniversary from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 21 Brix in Ripley. There will be a “Best Class” basket auction and other activities, including the announcement of the network’s new logo.
