Ladies Auxiliary To Meet Tuesday

The Busti Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Jeanette Northrop Building on the Busti Firemen’s Grounds. Preparations are being made for the Busti Apple Festival on Sept. 24. The group will also discuss the October County Auxiliary meeting in Ripley.

Historical Society To Hold Pot Luck

BLOCKVILLE — The Harmony Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Sept. 19, starting with a pot luck dinner at 6 p.m. Following a look at the year events of the society, Michelle Henry, county historian, will speak on the numerous cheese factories that were in the county. The meeting is open to the public. Those attending should bring a dish to pass and their own table service.

Infinity Learning Carnival Is Today

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts will be holding an Open House Learning Carnival today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is free, family friendly and open to the public. Free demo classes will be offered, a photo booth, facility tours, prizes, opportunities to sign up for lessons and more. Community members of all ages are encouraged to come join the fun. Special thanks to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for making this event possible.

JCC Trustees To Meet Tuesday

OLEAN — The next meeting of the Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the Cattaraugus County Campus with videoconferencing to the boardrooms on the Jamestown campus and JCC North County Training Center, Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend.

Panama BOE To Meet Monday

PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

War Vets To Hold Firearm Giveaway

The War Vets is holding its 30th annual firearms giveaway Sunday starting at 1 p.m. The giveaway will include 44 firearms and a 24-gun safe which will include four firearms. There will other items given away as well with food and drinks also available.

Trapper Course To Be Offered

A New York trapper education course will be held at the Falconer Rod & Gun Club off of Buffalo Street Extension in Falconer. The course will be held on Wednesday and Friday, both at 5-10 p.m. There is no cost to attend the class, and both classes must be attended to be certified. Attendees must bring completed homework, which can be downloaded at www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/92274.html/. The homework should be printed, but not the manual, which will be provided in class. Any questions, please call the Region 9 Sportsman Education Office at 379-6376.

Conservation Board To Meet

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the district offices, Northcrest Business Park, 220 Fluvanna Ave., Suite 600, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
