JPS BOE To Meet Today

A special meeting of the Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. today in the superintendent’s conference room, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Soccer Camp Signups Underway

The 2017 Jamestown Boys and Girls Soccer Camp for children in fifth through 12th grades will be held from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 7-11 at Fletcher Elementary School. Registration forms are available at www.jamestownpublicschools.org. Registration can be mailed to Coach Gundlach, Athletic Office, Jamestown High School, 350 E. Second St., Jamestown, NY 14701. T-shirts are guaranteed only for those registering by Thursday.

Bible School Starts Monday

The Westside community vacation Bible school will be held Monday through Friday, July 31 through Aug. 4, from 6-8:15 p.m. at the Jamestown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, located on the corner of West Third Street and Lakin Avenue. All children entering universal pre-kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend. The theme is Operation Arctic. There will be Bible stories, games, crafts and refreshments. Outdoor Club To Ride Wednesday

Celoron Planning Board To Meet

CELORON — The Celoron Planning Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Celoron Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron, to review the site plan application for 11 Boulevard Ave. The public is welcome to attend.

Harmony Clerk’s Office To Close

The Harmony Town Clerk’s office will be closed Wednesday through Monday, July 31. Normal hours resume on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Outdoor Club

To Hike Friday

On Friday, the AOC will hold a combination hike or a splash-hike along or in Brokenstraw Creek and on the hiking trail that runs alongside Brokenstraw Creek. Those doing the splash hike should wear water shoes and bring a walking stick. There will be a potluck picnic after the hike so participants should bring a dish to share and table service. Participants will meet at the Hike-Bike Trail Parking Lot at the north end of Poplar Street behind Youngsville High School at 11 a.m. For more information call Jonella Roundtree at (864) 555-6463.
