Historical Society Open Saturday
FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will be open Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Visitors are welcome to view exhibits and meet with members working on projects. The society is located in the building behind the Carroll Town Hall.
Library Hours Announced
The Cherry Creek Library announced its hours to be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-5 p.m.; Wednesday, 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. WiFi and computers are available. For more information, contact Sharon Howe, librarian, at 296-5105.
Ellington Farman To Host Speaker
Ellington Farman Library will be presenting a program on The Underground Railroad on Thursday, June 29, from 5-7 p.m. in their Community Room. Della Moore, director and one of the founders of the African American Center for Cultural Development in Olean, will be the main speaker and her presentation will include a broad view of the history of the Underground Railroad as well as a focus on local history and heroes. This is a free event open to all ages but seating is limited so plan to come early. The Ellington Farman Library, located at 760 Thornton Road in Ellington, is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 287-2945 for information.
3-on-3 Tourney Set For July 29-30
ERIE — The Erie, Pa., YMCA and Rebich Investments will host the sixth annual Downtown Showdown 3-on-3 basketball tournament July 29-30 at the Millcreek Mall in the Mad Mex parking lot. Falconer Key Club To Hold Yard Sale
The Falconer Key Club is holding a yard sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help with the cost of their upcoming service project in the Dominican Republic. A large array of items have been donated and there is sure to be somthing for everyone. Stop out to 3108 N. Main Street Ext., Jamestown (Rt 60 across from the State Trooper Barracks) to help support the kids.
Church Will Hold Summer Classes
The Clark’s Corners Community Church, 1 Gospel Lane, Kennedy, invites area children, ages 3 through the sixth grade, to attend the Vacation Bible school “Victory,” giving God cheers as He is worshipped during the week in music, game time, crafts, studying His word and snacks. J.I.M. Club To Hold Training
