Sixby To Manage Chamber Benefits

The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce and Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier have hired Kevin Sixbey to manage the insurance benefits program of the organizations.

”Kevin is a great addition to our team in that he brings extensive insurance experience and strong connections to the community, all of which will help serve our member’s needs,” said Todd Tranum, Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive officer and Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier executive director.

Sixbey said the chamber and manufacturers association has grown its insurance offerings extensively during the past few years and, in doing so, is well positioned to meet the diverse needs of its members.

”I look forward to serving our members and helping them identify insurance offerings that best fit the needs of their businesses and their employees” Sixbey said.

The chamber and manufacturers association offers health insurance plans to fit the needs of all businesses and individuals. Whether a member is a large company, a small company, a sole proprietorship or is an individual employed locally, they can find a plan to suit their needs and budget. Included in the offerings are the Bright Choices private insurance exchange, which offers Fortune 500 type benefits, including a variety of plans from Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Independent Health and Univera, along with ancillary benefits such as dental and vision coverage. In addition, we can help businesses, sole proprietors and individuals access the New York state public health exchange, which also offers a wide variety of insurance options to the consumer.

Sixbey has worked in the insurance industry for 10 years. He attended Baldwin Wallace and Syracuse universities. He is an active member of the Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association, Rotary Club of Jamestown and First Lutheran Church of Jamestown. Sixbey previously served on the board of directors of the Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club and was an appointed commissioner of the city of Jamestown Parks, Recreation & Conservation Commission.
