Meet For Dinner
Jamestown Senior Citizen Center members will meet for a tureen on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. Seniors attending should take a dish to pass and their own table service. For more information on payment for the trip on March 15, contact the office at 484-1627.
JHS Winter Band Concert Saturday
The JHS Winter Band Concert is Saturday at 7 p.m. in the JHS Auditorium. The concert features the JHS Concert and Symphonic Bands and admission is $5 presale, or at the door. Call 483-4217 for tickets.
‘Titanic’ To
Show Saturday
The romantic drama, “Titanic” — originally released in 1997 — shows Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. The film — winner of 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director (James Cameron) — stars Oscar nominee Kate Winslet and Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio. Titanic is Rated PG-13 and is 205 minutes long. Admission for Movies @ The Reg is $5. For more information visit reglenna.com or call 484-7070. The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts is located at 116 E. Planning Board To Meet Feb. 7
MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Planning Board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Gerace Office Building, Room 331, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. The public is welcome to attend.All meetings of the County Planning Board are open to the public. School Of Music To Hold Concert
FREDONIA — Elizabeth Widzinski and James Welch, along with fellow State University at Fredonia School of Music faculty, will present many different flavors of varied operatic repertoire on Monday at 8 p.m., in the Rosch Recital Hall at SUNY Fredonia. The concert is free and open to the public. Clarinetist Dr. Andrew Seigel, I-Fei Chen-Markham, Laurie Tramuta, Lisa Layman, Dr. Angela Haas, Amy Shake and Daniel Ihasz will accompany Ms. Widzinski, clarinet, and Mr. Welch, piano, in the performance of works by Mozart, Bizet, Verdi, Menotti and other noted composers.
FM Assn. Elects 2017 Officers
The Chautauqua County Amateur FM Association elected officers for 2017. President – Harry Fiedler; Vice-president – Richard Jones; Secretary – Patrick Norrod; Treasurer – Elaine Crossley; Financial secretary – Mardy Backstrom; and Technical Advisor – Dave Thompson. Re-elected to board positions were John Crossley (NY) and Richard Jones (PA). For 2017 the club plans to finish the installation of a radio emergency communications tower at the EOC in Mayville and upgrade existing towers and equipment.
Quilt Guild To Meet Feb. 8
BUSTI — The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Busti Fire Hall. The program will be “Can’t Throw it Away-Part 2” presented by Melanie Barrett. Refreshments will be served; all members and guests are welcome.
